Have you got five minutes to spare for some teensy-tiny creative prompts this week? I promise that’s all the time you’ll need. You can join in every day, or just one or two. On the day, or later on.
Whether you think of yourself as a writer or not. It’s something to have fun with - imagine yourself as Agatha Christie, Marian Keyes or Jane Austen.
Bonus: you’ll get to use one of the notebooks from your hoard, I know you have a collection. (As part of the challenge, you get one minute to choose which notebook which arguably is harder than the prompt that follows below.)
There are no rules, but I’d suggest you give yourself the full five minutes, even if it’s feeling intolerably long, or inspiration seems to have sodded off on her holidays early.
Ready? Deep breath… here we go.
5 minutes, 1 sentence
Set a timer for just 5 minutes.
Write ONE sentence about the book idea that's been floating in your mind.
That's it for today. Notebook away. Until tomorrow.
Before You Go…
I’d love to know: what surprised you most about what you wrote today?
Thanks for sharing this 😊
